I have my first mt cur and I do like the breed. Very smart and very trainable. The problem I have is with the cold here in Wy. He seems to do fine on nicer days down to about 20 deg but he can't handle much lower than that and has to be moving to stay warm. I've searched for jackets and vest but haven't come across anything that looks like it would truly help.
Anyone have any suggestions. I'd like to get another mt cur but not if they can't take the cold. I spend a lot of time outside.

A neoprene vest would work, theyre used on labs and retrievers in cold weather.
Get the 5mm vest and/ or house him properly with lots of insulated bedding and a doggie door to block out all drafts.
