best utv or side by side. Which is the best and why?

Post by bigboarstopper »

In the market for a side by side. Looking at the polaris but the price is high. Considering a kawasaki because the price is better than the polaris and it is still a 3 seater. Dont like the yamaha because its a 2 seater. I dont know much about the rest. Any info?

I have riden in both the polaris and the artic cat. You will not like the cab noise in the artic cat!!!! that alone would make me not buy one of those. the polaris would be my choice of those two. that polaris had a heater inside the cab as well. overall a nice ride

My recommendation is to go with the polaris 800hd you will love the ride carrying capacity and the power. Its only down side is it is wide but that is good and bad in some cases.

Rhino is the best that I have used polaris a second then the rest. The polaris has a higher payload rating but it handles trouble when loaded to the max. I have ran both with seven dogs and two guys in them. you have to let dogs out of the polaris when it gets steep sidehilling or climbing.

Dad has a Rhino and I have a Polaris Ranger (two seater). He told me not to leave it at his house any more. Mom rode it all over the place, and liked it better than the Rhino. He said he was scared he would have to buy her one. Lol.

I like the Rhino, but it is too hot to ride in the summer. It's about four years old and the breather is between the seats. Maybe it is in a different place on the newer models. I have no complaints about either one as to the type of terrain they will go in.

Has anyone been around the honda? My opinion is this, i have an older ranger, its ok. But in the past, The honda or Yamaha has been tough to the bone, in the atv market. I've owned several polaris 4 wheelers also, stuck more money in them, then one honda combined. Personally, I would buy the Yamaha for long term reliability.

I have a honda and its pretty tough.. I use it to haul firewood and pull logs out of the creek bottoms and I drive it up and down the road in and out of our camp..Its no hot rod but it seems real dependable which is typical of honda and does what I want it to do
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I have a Kaw. Terex and a Polaris RZR side by sides. First off if you put a roof or cab on any of them you are going to get more engine noise. I usually wear ear muffs on the long drives.
The RZR has more zip for take off (faster throttle response), the Kaw. has more guts for pulling (lugging power).
As for the best side by side my vote goes to Bomardier (Can am).
