Cat dogs???

Post by Jesse »

I have bobcat hunted a bunch and ran a few lions with some other guys and am curious on your opinions. Will most dogs that can jump bobcats run them hard and catch some of them usually run a lion to?? Thinking of making a trip west to try but don't want to be to disappointed if it doesn't work out. Thanks for the info. Jesse

I have seen dogs that run only bobcat not take a lion. If you run other game with your dogs it should not be a problem. Dewey

Most dogs yes, however have seen a few that needed another dog with them in the beginning, and never really cared for them. Bare ground lion hunting can be more challenging than I was told, before my limited experience. I f I was traveling to the NW to lion hunt with a strait bobcat hound, I would try to find an experienced lion hound for that trip. Of coarse don/t come to Oregon, running a lion with a hound here, could will get you at least a 5000 dollar fine& up to a year in jail. Al
