A week ago my 2 year old Bluetick / Plott cross dog named Patches disappeared off my property and hasn't showed up yet. I raised her from a pup and the only time I kenneled her up was when she was in heat otherwise she always loose. She never left the property before. She is a very valuable dog and I wouldn't have sold her at any price. At 2 years old she is as close to a finished dog that I ever had at that age.
I have no idea what happened to her, she might have been killed by something, been shot by someone or stolen. I believe all 3 possibilities are very low. I would be willing to pay a pretty good price to get her back if she was stolen but I have misgivings about putting out a reward. Some think I should put out a big reward to deter people from stealing or shooting hounds while others think it is a bad idea to put out rewards as it will give people incenitive to pick up hounds and wait on a reward.
