well apperently the thread got removed but i would like to post the details and a couple points to ponder....... it has been brought to the attention of the founders of this hunt that the time of year is bad due to females giving birthand colder weather, however due to all the advertiseing already out it is not posible to change. however this hunt is only the first annual so changes have already been made for next year. the guy putting this on has a lot of work into this hunt. he has contacted several big name dog product companys( tri tronics purina and others) who have all agreed that if this years coon hunt is a succes then they themselves would sponser it next year so you may want to consider putting up with this years crummy season dates and think of all the possabilites of free gear next year also the entry fee is fifty dollars if a hundred people enter that is a five grand purse. third place gets there money back and second gets $100.00.

it starts on 4,26,08 @4:00 and goes until 10:00 am the following morning. 1 or 2 man teams and up to four dogs. (2 man teams may split up) at least 1 person from each team must be at 1 of 2 chech point(ephraim scipio)with at least two dogs prior to 4:00. you can hunt any where in the state so long as you are back to a check point by 10:00. coons will be tempertured checked and most coons wins.....

out of staters welcome to join also....

.....so maybe think twice about it and give these sanpete county coal mine boys some support.........

So aparently everyone squacken but pregnte coon and baby coon /what the hell sponcers will have lots of gear their this yr!? A whats wrong with this/ HELLO !!!!

sounds about as fair of a hunt as you can get as long as contestants have good old hound dawg honesty..... who cares about sponsers or not its all about getting togather having fun and hunting some hounds.

You need you define SPONSER?Because Johnson Wildlife Quicktrack Fullcry Diamond and others sponserd our field trial raffle here in Calif. for April 26 and 7th .But I don't think and body would Sponser A Mass Killing.of anything

Maybe ya can hold a dragg or swim event & bbq instead and all agree on a different time of the yr for it too next be held ?
By golly hardhitten sure brought-up the correct responce,the sponcers sure don`t need too tie themselves too something like that .

That would be fun to win that kind money, but without any kind of judges sent out with the boys I'm sure there will be plenty taken without hounds.
