Consider the Iditerod sled dog race, 1000 miles in less than 10 days. I think the dogs eat up to 8000 calories, most of which is not carbohydrates. Protein to repaie muscles and fat for energy.
Not sure how to research the foods but try advertizers on the website and call them. I fry up bacon (ends and pieces) which has fat and protein, and eggsfrom my over producing flock.
In cold weather a house with a door can be a big help to slow energy loss.

I've found peanut oil to do very good. Here in the south we have catfish restaurants everywhere. When they clean out the fryer of the peanut oil from frying catfish we get it and use it as a top dress on the dog feed for a dog needing something extra. Really does good for a dog that's run down and will keep a slick shiney coat on them too.

beef fat. You can get it from your local butcher or slaughter house. Doesn't take much - a couple 1 inch cubes a day will do the trick.

Not sure if you guys have it in the states but unifeed makes dog food called all stages. Try one bag u won't be dissipointed. And I swear by making your own raw food. U need a big meat grinder turn your meat to ground add cooked rice, and sweet feed mix well. I put it into about 40-50 lb bags. This will vary depending on the number of dogs u own. Pull a bag out let thaw and feed a 2-5 lb meat ball to each dog at the end of each day they are hunted. I'm sure you could use beef but I think horse meat would be better.

Butcher trimmings will work wonders.

I suggest giving all your dogs a good broad spectrum dewormer and feed something that is high energy/protein and easy to digest (i.e. no corn, no gluten). An old timer told me to give the dogs yogurt to put weight on em, probably works about the same as what cat hntr is talking about. Beef fat works good too. When I'm bear hunting I'll feed each dog a cup or two of no corn no gluten kibble after the first race in the morning, thats usually about lunch time for me so they can digest it for a while before the evening hunt.

Meat scraps with a good amount of fat, and fresh eggs work great for my dogs.
