Fox feed
Any of y'all feed your fox and if you do or have in the past what did you use ? We used to have feeders in our fox woods and used dog feed, just wondered if someone knew something cheaper. Have used old donuts too but the bears or coyotes hit them pretty hard.

Scrubrunner,
Before the craze of Fried Pork Skins.....Cracklings were cheap and easy to feed the Fox. Now the CHEAP Dog food appears the way to go.

Re: Fox feed
scrubrunner that's all I feed a handful out the window every 100 or 150 feet and throw it cross the ditch so crows wont get it as bad , and a greedy coyote wont lay up on it cause he will and might eat your fox !! if you put it all in one place, best thing I have seen is dogfood soaked in fish grease, kick u out a hole and pour it in and cover it back up, they will eat dirt and all, and dig a deep hole if u keep putting it there, and make a lot of places like that so the greedy stuff wont get it all, they will eat corn also in the road have see lots of that , I feed reguarly

Cheap dog food, and at times have mixed in a little cat food at times with it....also How about types of feeders you use, I have mainly used five gallon buckets with tight locking lids to keep coons out and use a old collar to strap the bucket handle to a tree...

Re: Fox feed
I don't feed foxes but we do have an orchard and they seem to love apples. They eat the fallen apples all winter even when they dry up. I see apple skins in their scat up to two miles away...
