Sampson the great!!!!

Post by killroy »

The years go fast for the great ones. On Tuesday May 13th Center Fire Sampson passed away. Sampson was truly great he was treeing lions before he was a yr old. Deen and his boy took Sampson out and buried him on the point that he caught his first lion.
Sampson's name will live on with his pups U.K.C. shows 126 registered pups and he had many more that were not registered.

He was a great hunter and what a producer! I still have my Hondo dog out of him and he is a great lion dog. Sammie a littermate to Hondo passed a few weeks ago after having a litter of pups. She was an awesome hound and this will be a great loss, but thankfully she will live on in the 4 pups we were able to save, and the Canadian Wilderness will hear the kin of Sampson for a long time.

Have to say, sad to hear of his passing. Lots of people and their breeding programs were influenced by him. As mentioned, he was a good reproducer. The pup I have out of him is a good one.

What is the brothers name? How was Sampson bred? Would like to see his linage, always interested in knowing the breeding behind such a hound. Thanks Al

One of my favorite hounds I have ever got to hunt with was a daughter of Sampson's. Man she would have been a great dog if she would have lived past 3. Thanks Sampson, now I have to keep looking for something that could match my Sammy dog. RIP old boy.
