Nasty boar hog

Post by d's kemmer curs »

Emily, Tracy, and I headed out this morning with Jack, Ty, Lilly, Heather, and three catchdogs, Digger, Blade, and Kimber.
We went back to the same spot we caught the two sows at last week and turned them out. The Kemmers hit a track immediately and the race was on. They ran him about a mile south along the creek and when we pulled up they had a solid bay going on in a thicket of brush. We turned all three bulldogs loose and ran in to the mayhem. I told Emily to stay out, the brush was too thick and I could tell it was a nasty hog. I got close and saw the bulldogs had him shut down solid. Easy leg job for me while Tracy came in and stuck. Did a damage assesment and found all three cd's were cut, not too bad, but they were out of action and will be for 2 weeks.
Quick hunt, in fact it took me longer to repair the dogs than it did to find and catch the hog. :x

We raise, train, and hunt Kemmer Stock Mt. Curs for finding and baying wild, feral hogs here in south Texas.
