Wolf compensation

Post by tcinkgm »

I lost my best dog to a wolf attack week before last. It really set me back both emotionally and as far as my hunting goes. Has anyone considered some type of class action against the Defenders of Wildlife or HSUS or the likes?

Mostly a rhetorical question, but we know they would not hesitate.

We had a pack of 7 wolves take up residence here in CO. over by Debeque (Grand Junction area). Our Game and fish dept. posted an article about them and within a year they were all gone. Gotta wonder if they thought that might happen because they don't want them here.

You can sue over pretty much anything these days if you have the cash to keep it going, you could spend years and thousands and still not accomplish much... You will not change the minds of those groups. A public campaign might be a better way to spend that money? Get the general public to realize the cost of having wolves running around on public lands.

I notice you are from Arizona, did you run into the wolves here in AZ?

when the wolf problem first started here in Idaho, a houndsman was doing a video of a lion hunt. the dogs were trailing a track and he heard wolves howl on the ridge. then he heard them close in on his pack, all the while he was filming. showed the wolf tracks join I o the dog tracks and they killed his pack. he took the video to town to complain and get compensated for his dogs. the wardens did a review and determined that the dogs were harassing the wolves. that was the end of that and no compensation. so good luck with a lawsuit. the only chance we have is to vote, vote vote!! jmo
no mater if you think you can or you think you cant,, you are probably rite.

You'll never win a lawsuit because a wild animal attacked your hunting dog in National Forest.

I don't like saying that either.
