Post by mya »

lighted collars

Just a cheap idea that I have found to be really helpful hunting at night is to go to WalMart or any Dollar store and get the lighted / glow stick wrist bands or necklaces kids use around halloween. You know the ones that you break and shake and they will glow for hours. I like the wrist band sized ones and run down along my antenna. If I have time I might take some black electrical tape to help hold them in. They show up great in most cases.

MAGNUM lighted collars...

The whole piece on the collar lights up.. They are BRIGHT.. I wouldn't even mess with owning another brand... I get my from Quail Hill Kennels and Supply...

You can see these from a long ways away....

Here is a picture with my dogs wearing a white one, green one and blue one.. Course with the flash on the camera, you don't get the full effect

They are about $50.00 a collar... They have 8000 hour sealed batteries.. IMO they are worth it.. They do have to be sent in to have the battery replaced.. Just like a tracking collar..

Here is their webpage that shows the collars.. They actually do not show the collars I have though.. Mine is clear plastic (built just like a small tracking collar) and the whole piece lights up..

They are good people there..

Buddy... You should sell some of those bad boys  We use them bobcat hunting too...
