Carnivore tv show

Post by bmattison »

I would just like to tell Mr. Roberson how much we enjoy his Carnivore show. He did a great job showing the world the sport of hound hunting in a very positive way. The way it is. So thank you Mr. Roberson.

I wholeheartedly agree! I caught the lion hunt in Montana today and throughly enjoyed it.That Is some beautiful country.Of course i really admired those fine blue dogs.Just think about it,a houndman with a tag trees 3 lion and doesn't take one (with no harm to the lions). He ends the season without filling his tag .Now that's a true houndsman and i think that's what hunting hounds is all about ,SPORTSMANSHIP !!!

Thanks gentlemen. The season ran for several more weeks after Steve and I returned to Texas. Larry continued to hunt but never pulled the trigger on the big tom that we had seen tracks. Ironically, Drifter was able to hunt the last weekend and they finally hit the big tom fresh enough that the dogs could open and move the track at least to some degree. Larry said that they trialed the old tom for several hours and miles but never could get him going.
When he was driving home, he bumped into a couple of friends who had turned out on a small track and had a couple of young hounds trailing. Drifter could hear the dogs trailing and was really wanting to get to them and the hunters begged Larry to cut him loose. Thank goodness, Larry decided to go on home for in about 20 minutes, he got a call from the fellows and wolves fell in on the trailing dogs and killed both of them. If Drifter would have been on the ground, he would have met the same fate.
Thanks so much and Adios,
Gary
