Looking for a Blue Lacy Breeder?

Post by Henefer-hound-hunter »

I'm trying to find a blue lacy breeder in Utah or a surrounding state. It's for my brother he is a big game guide and is sick of clients making crappy shots and following blood trails and loosing them in bad conditions, and since the clients shooting is unlikely to get any better his Solution is to train a blood trailing dog, and is really set on a blue lacy. I tried to talk him into a few other breeds that make good blood trailing dogs that are easier to find, but one of his buddies he guides with has one bred from Louisiana and my bro said its amazing I'm every way! so if anyone has any info on a breeder that might be a little closer than Louisiana I'd appreciate the feed back! Thanks in advance for any lead or info:)

Thanks for the leads what kennels were you looking to get a pup from? One of my buddies breeds some nice catahoulas that i know would work good, and I know a guy posts some nice hunting Airedales from Colorado all the time that would not be to far from us and would work well, but he wants a smaller dog than them so I told him to get one of the hunting terrier breeds but he doest have the patients for a terrier plus he is set on a blue lacy. He says his buddies blue lacy is about the size of a small to average size border collie, is super obedient, and runs a blood trail fast and quite then bays when it finds the animal. So I i think if he is set on one he just needs to find a kennel that has produced some nice blood trailing dogs, and have the pup shipped reguardless of where it is. I'm a firm believer in you get what ya pay for. So if ya don't mind telling me what kennels you were looking to get a pup from maybe we can start there. Thanks again for the info
