Anyone have any pictures of there coon feeders? Or any ideas? Thanks

Take PVC pipe, put a Y-bottom on one end and place a 2-3 foot long straight pipe on one of the Y ends. Block off the bottom of the Y, such that you have a Y with one long top. You can then fill the long end of the Y with corn/cat food/ whatever bait you want to use. The coons will be the only animal that can reach down the Y and grab out some feed. If you have a trail camera, and you notice that crows etc are enjoying a meal, just lengthen the short Y end such that only coons can reach in. I strap these to a tree and usually use them in areas where I have to hike in with the dogs due to poor vehicle access.

The other thing I have seen work well is to use old tires on the rim. Drill some holes in the sidewall and pour your corn through the holes such that only a coon can reach in through the holes to get a small handful. If you make it so they can't get their entire meal out in one handful, it will make them hang around longer and leaves more scent for your young dogs to find. I use these where I can drive in, as the tire tends to be more than I want to carry around.

I have done the tires - works great.

I also drilled holes in an old wooden bee box - worked great.

Until bees decided to move back in...

I am going to try 5 gal buckets with lids on and holes drilled. Find them on the side of the road all the time.

Buckets worked too. Crows are some bait because I hadn't put lids on them.

On the ground was a mistake. Javelina busted up the box rolling it to get the corn.

i live i northern mn and we cant run bear here with hounds. we can grow some great big coon here, biggest i have ever killed was 42lbs most are around 15-20lbs
