Hello,
I had a knock on the door this morning and when I answered it there was a older gentlemen that was interested in my hounds in the yard that he had seen when he was driving by.It turned out this gentlemen was George pavey who did a lot of hunting with the lee brothers and many others.I would just like everyone to know that he is a true gentleman and is a very interesting person to speak with and I am honored to have met him.Thank you Mr. Pavey and hope to see you soon.
Ryan
Thanks Goerge Pavey

George is a class act and fun guy to be around. I'm proud to call him a friend. I hunted for about thirty years with the guy that introduced George to the Lee Brothers and had the privilege of meeting George several years ago when he lived in Lava Hot Springs Idaho before moving to his winter home in Tucson Az. I spent five days visiting with George and never stopped laughing over the old tails of hunting with the Lee Brothers. I'm glad he is contributing to Houndsmen magazine. Truly a treasure in the tree hound world!

Mike,
You have got that right about being a class act.George came by again and gave me a copy of the Houndsmen magazine where he contributed his article "First Lion" along with a picture of him and dale lee with some jaquars they had taken on a hunt.I will cherish these forever and thank you for helping George to share some of these memories in this article.
Thanks
Ryan

Thanks for the kind words....I really blew it year ago. I hunted with one other guy who introduced George to Dale Lee and he also hunted down in Mexico....For years he tried to get me to drive down to Tucson and meet Dale Lee....I was too busy hunting when Dale passed away! Never over look the old time houndsmen of the past, once gone, so is their legacy! I bet it was this picture of Dale on the left and George on the right.

Take care!

Mike,
Yes that is the picture he left me and as I said I will cherish it for the rest of my days. You are right about cherishing the moments of getting to meet great houndsmen of the past as threre are not many left,My mother went to school with warner glenn and my wifes family is related to sewell Goodwin who are/were both great liuon hunters yet I never got to meet them and then a great lion hunter just shows up at your door one day and takes you into the past.It was great!

A great experience I bet .. !
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
