Have fun kid. Also make sure to hunt around water if you got a real hard tree dog. Some dogs can get awful hot while others seem to never get hot. Don't ask me why cuz I cant figure that one out yet.

That's exactly what I'm talkin bout. I didn't wanna say it cuz folks wouldn't hardly believe it but when they get in that kinda shape they just don't miss.

Goes for "all" hunters as well. The better condition your in the more "Luck" you'll have.

Something to keep in mine is you can hunt your dogs to hard. For 90% of the hunters that is probably not the case but I know I have reached that point with my dogs.

I haven't really noticed that til they get about maybe 6 years old. Just an arbitrary age but that seems to be the age at which it happens. With my greyhounds I am noticing it at about 5 years old. I do know what you mean though I've just not seen it with 3 and 4 year old dogs.

I agree 3 to 4 year old dogs have a lot better bounce back. I currently run 6 dogs, during cat season I usually split my pack so that doesn't happen. I have more issues in bear hunting with that on tough bear races where I usually run all 6 on a bear. Eventually I will have good enough bear dogs to split my pack. maybe....
