New from CA

Post by Witty_K »

Hello all, I am Kendall. Being from CA most of you know there isn't much opportunity to see dogs run here. I am 19 so I do remember hearing the bear hunters dogs while deer hunting with my dad. I will be going to school in MT as soon as I finish jr college here. Hoping to meet some people in NV or OR between now and then that are willing to show a new guy what its all about. I love watching my lab work birds so I know I would love to see a hound open up on a track.

Im in the same boat. Im old enough to have been a houndsman in ca, but was too busy deer hunting, not sure what I was thinking. I have a NV lion tag for 2015 and am hoping to find someone to go with. Im hoping to get some leopard cur pups to train up in the next couple years

Yeah I still have a few years of school before I figure I should start thinking about getting more dogs. I trained my lab jr and senior year of high school and don't think I want to do a hound until after college, but I want to get out and see some. Watching the lab pick up pheasant and duck scent makes me think it would be really cool to watch them open up.
