moving to idaho falls and would love a little help

Post by Blues »

im getting ready to move to Idaho falls in a month i have all my own gear a good truck to tree dog she was raised and ran by a guide in utah arizona and new mexico she will rig trail and tree her own bear, and two promising up and comers i would like to say my dogs will be a help rather than a hindrance but i guess you never really know. i would love to throw in with some of you Idaho guys to learn where to run to avoid the thriving wolf problem and what to look for to avoid and encounter. i kinda like my dogs and wanna em to stick around for awhile longer if i can help it. any way any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Buck

Swan valley is close place to there that has some good bear hunting . you are not going to avoid wolves anywhere you bear hunt in Idaho . the coon and lion hunting is good around there . if I were closer I would show you around some .

Lol I was gonna suggest you go there and kill some bear haha . wolves can be anywhere it's just a risk you gotta take. I have always avoided any area with a lot of sign . I have been fortunate to not have problems .

The river around Hi-C(sp) was supposed to be good for coons, we hunted bear up Kelly canyon we'd collar up at the ski resort and go up the canyon. There were alot of people and baits but we caught bear the west side always did better. And for lion we stayed down around pocatello because that's where we lived but swan vally/driggs and such I heard people did ok in. Hope it helps most guys I met around there were ok and pleasant.
