I have always been a fan of the plott hound and have been fortunate over the years to own a number of very good plott game catchers from various lines. This new book gives some interesting history on the breed and people that really put it on the map in this country.

I think houndsmen regardless of the breed they hunt will like the stories of these hardy families and their trailblazing dogs.

As the bluetick hound is the state dog of Arizona the Plott is the state dog of North Carolina.

it is a good read, i have read threw it a few times, some key players to the plott breed left out, and not much about todays top plott guys, but has some good history and pictures.
