Getting dog to range further
Currently I'm hunting 3 dogs mostly on foot and my 2 young dogs range out to about 50-100 yds from me while we are hunting, but my third dog for some reason won't range out hardly at all until we strike something. Same holds true if we are roading or on mules. Any suggestions to get him out further or is this just his personality? He's a little over 2 and been on about 8 lions (3 by himself) and a handful of bobs. Once we get a track he does just fine.

Re: Getting dog to range further
I have had this happen with a few dogs . what I do to solve it is just stop for a while when you get in a good area and take a break . they know what we are out doing and I just let them venture off I don't encourage them to come I just let then hunt . if they don't I just don't have the time for them .
Hunt hard cull hard !
