While all the rich people were runnin bears...
I stayed close to home and hunted for a lion off the hay propelled transportation. Got up the bottom of a canyon about a half hour into riding and the pack blew up. They took up the bottom along the creek and worked it for about two hours, as I rode up they were under a ledge where it all came to a halt. There was a good sized set of Tom tracks going back and forth under the ledge and several scratches, a lot of the tracks were older but we were deffinately in his house. The freshest of the tracks looked like they could have been early in the night, but we couldn't see where it had went out. After about another fourty five minutes my one female slipped up through a crack, struck and was off. At this point we were on foot and tried to stay with her but couldn't. We got back to the horses and pulled out the tracker and had a good signal, as we rode along trying to catch up to her we never did and she wasn't opening anymore. Rode back to the truck and tried the tracker again as it was getting dark now and she was way up on top. I talked to some guys I knew that were camped close to where we turned out and they said they would pick her up when she came out. They called me the next day and said they hadn't seen her. So, I've been going out the last two days looking for her and have covered a lot of miles with not even a slight beep on the reciever, I hope beeing the independent little booger she is that she has just skipped over the mountain. This dog has been left out before and always showed up that night or the next day, but with no beep from her collar I'm afraid someone has picked her up and not bothered to call me. I'm sure as I keep looking she'll turn up, but if she doesn't I hope you northern Utah/Southern Idaho boys will keep a look out for a little walker female with a lazy H and an upward arrow brand on her right ear. If you see someone with her put a pop knot on their head and hold em till I can get there. 435-854-7142
