Foot wear

What's a good pair of packet boots good for in the saddle and walking. I know whites but hate to spend that kind of money and looking for the best bang for the buck

Schenee and kenetrek both make great packs, I think my last pair were about 220

My wife and I have White's , Schnees, and Kenetreks. All great boots

But

The Whites and the Schnees set these days we love the light and stable, warm Kennetreks!!!

I've worn both whites and kennetreks over the years, but the best boot I've ever worn was a Rick Brockman custom boot. They are a little more expensive than the production boots, but less than most other custom boot makers and to me they are worth it.

For those of you who notice the similarities in last name, yes that was a shameless plug for my son, but it was also the truth.
