How to find out a dogs bloodline..

Hey boys, I'm a little new to this game and have zero knowledge about how the breeding/bloodline system with hounds. What I'm trying to figure out is, how do you find out which "bloodline" your hounds are from? I have the papers from UKC that explain the breeding that has taken place for 3 generations to get my hounds. But guys have asked me..what breeding do those dogs have? For example I hear about "ursus plotts". Where does this name come from and how do i find this out for my own dogs? I have two black and tans. Thanks.

On Ursus Plotts very easy just do a web-search, Steve Mohr has a good web-site. If you have your black dogs pedigree, post it. I know black dogs pretty well having bred them for a long time, but there are also many guys on this forum that know today's black and tans better than I and I am sure they would help.
