Man it can be tough to get your hounds out this time of year in Colorado. I always struggled getting mine out due to game laws. I know there is ways to do it though. I had friend who knew what hoops to jump through so it can legally be done. I just don't know how. Anyway, good luck to you sir.

Thanks man, I actually didn't have my dogs with me I was just wanting to meet up with some folks who had dogs and go hunt behind em up in the fine country, but like you said I did learn I was a couple months early for running dogs. Thanks for replying though I was surprised at the lack of response I got.

Yeah I was fortunate enough to grow up in Colorado but less then 5 minutes from Nebraska. Over there you can everything but lion 24-7, 365, public or private. Then come November head back colorado to the mountains. I was spoiled. I do remember a friend or two getting permission from the game and fish some to tree coons only during the summer.

Go white water rafting while your there in vista if you can. I had a friend stay there one summer and he guided on the Arkansas river. Good times.

Man we actually did go do that also went to the royal gorge? Really badass but I was wore out after 12 mile rafting tour. Haha did a horse back ride through San Isabel. Really nice out there made our way to Leadville raninto some doggers (noticed the dog box) we spoke and chatted a while real nice fella.
