Basically just pick a mountain range and go to cutting roads until you find yourself some cats. There is more than plenty of hunting not too far from you. You just have to get out and do it

This time of year, learn the deer heards. If you can find large concentrations of wintering deer, you will find cats. It's always easiest to figure out where the grocery store is and start hunting from there
