Has anybody had a horse or mule get possum disease ?

Not my horse personally but I know someone who had a nice gelding die from it... EPM

EPM is a virus that is found in possum stool. Horses get it from grazing near the stool. The virus affects the spinal\nervous system on horses ie making them very unsteady. Out west this is not as common but great leaps and bounds have been made in the treatments.
