High Hopes For These Two

Post by three rivers catahoulas »

These are a two pups I picked up last winter from Gene White. "PR" White Hollows Dan II(Black Brindle) & "PR" White Hollows Rattlin The Timber( Timber)the buckskin. Doin alright so far, had on 2 bear tree's and 4 jump outs, there 8 months old now and are already good tree dogs. The brindle dogs a little heavy footed but will out grow out of it, the buckskin dog is grease lightnin and is showin alot of nose power. Two of the smartest dogs I have had in a long time. If grit doesn't over run brains they are gonna be top notch dogs by next year.

What is the sire's name and the dam's name i think i may have a litter mate to them. Mine is a female sire is cody 2 dam is jenny jewl and i have had her on a few bear trees and she we sit at the bottom of the tree and just hammer going to be a real dog. Mine looks like your black brindle one. From some of your post i have read you are in some good hunting country for all the game i have to drive a hour and about 20 minutes just to train and thats on bear and also have some hog but 90 percent of the time when we strike its bear so really thats a good thing for us because we know when we have a strike more then likely we will be looking at a bear. So good luck with them and i'm sure they will do great..... :) :) :)

Plott38,
No like lion hunter said there from two differant lines, I have 2 plotts here that are not from Gene White I've been runnin his line of dogs now for 5 years. The two dogs that aren't out of his lines, one is a Star Mountain bred dog and the other is Alabama Hammer bred witch I belive is pretty much star Mt any way, as far as the breeding goes. But most all my Plott's are White Hollow bred unless they have been bred here. I have herd alot of good things about that cody II dog, never hunted behind any of his offspring though. Most of the Plott's out this way are grade bred or Star Mt, Sizzlin Heat, those are the only ones I have seen out here with the guys I hunt with. I'm sure theres more but I havent seen any. The little buck skin dog is goona make a dog, There both litter mates. There Sire is "PR" White Hollows Lee and ther Dam is "PR" White Hollows Sally.

Ya know I've herd lots of good things about Star Mt dogs, but the ones I have had and have, are at best OK dogs, I just never had any luck with'em, but I have buddys that have'em and there jam up dogs, maybe its just me LOL. I fell in love with the line Gene's breedin after the first dog I got from his lines, and that was a fluke deal with those dogs, I got them from a guy out here that had baught them and had some stuff come up and couldn't keep'em, so I took them and had them ever since.

Hey three rivers the guy that has the star mtn breed. He also took and crossed star mtn and pocahontas plotts and those dogs are the same way i think he also sells pups from that cross. These dogs are something to watch i have hunted with him a few times and getting ready to go back in 2 weeks. I am training some pups with those dogs but like i said earlyer it is 1 hour and 20 minute drive for me and i have to be out of town for the next two weekens. But back to the dogs when he drops the tailgate and lets the strike dogs out they jump right up on the box .He don't even have to chain them if he don't won't to i could set here and just about write you a book on how well these dogs mind, strike, listen just every thing you would dream of in a dog. After i get these pups trained and up and going good i will have a pup out of that cross. If you are interested in these dogs let me know and send your number and i will give him a call and give him your number he is a very nice guy but now he don't get on these sites and shoot the bull. Or i can send his number to you just let me know... Plott38

I'm talkin about the Star Mt out of Tenn, not the Moores Star Mt in ID. I have seen some good ones from both of those lines, but I'm real happy with the line s I have, for runnin hogs, bear and what not. But let me know if your gonna make a breeding I'm lookin for a buckskin femle. If I dont fined one from another line Gene already told me he has a six year old I can have, all I have to do is go to Tenn to pick her up.
