Since we are talking about the Utah bear pursuit season. I was wondering if any of you local houndsmen ever hunted with anybody from Spanish Fork.

Thanks

Hey thank KK. Been having a little bit of fun! Congrats on your catch. We will look forward to some pictures. In the mean time here is a video of a bear early this morning. I didn't have my camera but the kid who was with me was and got part of the bear work on video.

Not bad for a couple of mutts. Wish I would have had all of them there on this one! HA!

While I was in Alaska my buddy said he caught around 20 bears, which is a bit off his pace from last year but still pretty good.

But he was hunting every day not just weekends. We got a kill tag or two to mess with this fall so we'll be getting serious here in a few weeks. Or at least as serious as I can be. ;)

Well

Post by BigGameHunter »

Well the training season here in Utah has come to an end and it ended on a sad note for me. Went out this morning and ran a bear that ended up killing one of the best early starting dogs I have owned. My little Tick dog would have turned 1 on Oct 31 but didn't make it that long. When I got to her she was half dead already with her guts laid open and before I could carry her all the way back to the truck she died.

She was one heck of a dog for only being 10 months old. She made every bear tree but one during this summer training season. This sucks.

I hope all the rest of you have a little better luck.
