Have any you all noticed that it has become next to impossible to draw for elk, antelope, deer, and other game animals. NM law mandates the 80+% of tags drawn here go to residents yet it seems that when you ask fellow hunters if they drew for anything the answer is usually NO!!! or ARE YOU KIDDING?? Any body else notice these types of issues.

All I drew this year was Javalina. I liked the old days when you had to mail in your money up front. Now we have something like a gazillion people putting in on line, and then extending the deadline so everyone can put in their brother, mom, uncle, aunt, sister, ect....
But on the other hand our dogs can't get made at us for trashing, we have more time to chase tree game.

you must be putting in for riffle hunts then, im guessing because for some reason we can never draw riffle hunts. but theres 5 of us that put in every year for deer, elk and antelope, on separate applications and we have been pretty fortunate to draw deer and elk everytime but the antelope is pretty hard. If you want any land owner tags for elk let me know.

I live in Oregon and I put in for an atalope tag thinking the same thing, that I wouldnt get it so Ill just build up points. I heard that there were guys that have put in for 10 years and never drew a tag. Well my luck, I got the tag the first year I applied, and couldnt go on the hunt. Guess Ill just have to see how long it takes for me to draw another one.
