I chose Johnson cause I have had the best luck with them. The 16,000 battery life is great and they get good range on them. I like the reliablity of knowing they will not die. I also like that they are fully sealed and Johnson stands behind them and their warranty.
Have used Tracker and would only put a Tracker collar on a pup as they are not reliable enough to put on a dog that is worth his weight.
Wildlife are decent, but again I do not find them reliable as the Johnson.
That is my opinion on it.

I've used both Johnsons and Wild life but only Johnson now , I've never had any problem with them with good battery life.

Re: favoret tracking collar
i have a johnson currently and also a wildlife and use a traker maxima and the wildlife seems to track better and i would also vote for wildlife but also think the johnson is good but in workmanship the wildlife also gets my vote as the components are more easily replacible , I.E. the collar and also the antenna are all replacable in the field, as with the johnson they are not there yet but still quality equipment. that is my opinion as a first year user may i add my expirience is limited and well looked at before purchasing!!

When you compare the battery life, signal range, collar quality, and manner in which the magnet is kept, I prefer Wildlife hands down.
Re: favoret tracking collar
Had good luck with Wildlife.

Re: favoret tracking collar
my hoice is a klein. They are about the same as a Johnson. Very durable and dependable. Plus they are made about an hour away from me so I try to keep the business local. I had a wildlife replaceable battery collar and never trusted how long the batteries were going to last but other than that it was good,
