From East To West
hey fellas, thinking about loading the truck and heading west to chase some big cats. Seems like most of you guys on the site are from the western states so i was thinking i could get some good advice on a general area to head toward. I live here in the upper peninsula of michigan and am just thinking the trip would be fun for a couple of weeks this winter. Not set on an area but have a good friend in new mexico so i would'nt mind seeing him. THANKS, John

thanks guy's, i'm a state worker and get winters off. do nothing but chase bobcats and coyote all winter and thought maybee taking 2 or 3 weeks and seeing what was going on out there, i learn alot better hands on. hell, didnt expect much help but i know there's guys out there like me that just like to hunt and try to get along with anyone else who loves the sport. if you run into a guy who tells u he's a yooper and is just out to have some fun its a good chance we'll be face to face.hope to run into some of u guys.

I was just out in Ol Browns park scouting this last month and dude there are cats everywhere. But be careful you could easily end up in Colorado or Wyoming. I found some big Tom Tracks over by Dutch John
I'm going 2 be out there after the Bear hunt in December give me a shout if you head out. Most of this country is walking country thats why some dudes just cant find game.
That Lion that got stretched was let go also, I have the video of it leaving the country. I really hope you didnt have a part in that Ike.
I got plenty of hotspots out that way let me know if you need any info.
Diamond canyon has a few cats left the problem is the Private property, its closed 2 wheelers and sleds and Byu students are all over because of the hot pots. 2 guys lost dogs there last year. They also have gates they put up last year on the main road about a mile before there's any sign of a cat, and it's full of mines and bad ledges. There's an occasional bob at the bottom before the gate.
