Hey bigolplot
There are some people here in utah that have Majestics. I have a 17 month old Bloodhound/blue tick majestic. A buddy of mine from Spanish Fork bred his bloodhound to a blue tick. He told me that alot of the local houndsmen here in utah are looking for a cold nosed more agressive hound. You get the cold nose from the bloodhound and the more agression from the coonhound. Read some of Majestic tree hound's post on here he has a lot of knowledge about Majestics

what you see here on this site is not the real reflection of whats out their.
Theirs men that have been breeding this type of hound for a long time
and their not in it for money and their not trying to make a name for
themselves. There just breeding some good functional hounds.

Talk to Steve Marrow, he is top name in majestic hounds. He own's Saltlick kennels, and most of the best majestic you will find have Saltlick in their pedigrees.

I didn't mean to step on your toes there Jimmy. I don't know what your line of majestic may be, but if you told me I may have heard of it. From the people I have talked to, and some of the sharpest majestics that I have seen, all had Saltlick blood in them. Please Jimmy give us some insite.

I have try to get some of these other majestic people to get more involved but its like pulling teeth on a chicken.I would post some pictures
if my kids ever bring back my equipment. The bottom line is if your going
to breed this type of hound you have to know what they were all about.
They were not bred up from bloodhound and competition hound crosses.
And I am not saying these crosses won't work. How can breed this hounds
If you don't have any ideal what went into the original dogs. And you have
to know something about bloodhounds and hound breeds in general.
everybody thinks bloodhounds have the coldest nose of any breed
well thats just not true.they track totally different from a majestic or a
big blue. Some people don't like what I have to say but I try to tell it
is.

Your right and wrong Steve. It wasn't 35 years it was 38.And yes alot
did have papers. But I had no need for them. They were just good hounds
that could get the job done. They came from good lines. Some carried
the gascon name.and alot of western big game hunters kept no papers on their hounds.
