Need photos Please read carefully

I will be collecting until the end of August for the 2009 calendar but I never stop collection in hope there will be another calendar the next year! So don't stop sending photos.

Please read carefully. DO NOT POST photos here for me to get. I will NOT take them off this or any other website as they are made smaller by the photos storage sites. Mail all photos to me at gstaffiere@comcast.net and include your real name as well as your online name for my files.

I require high-resolution photos of your hounds hunting and a few of them being a pretty pet, the more variety the better. I also need pictures of all the "critters" your dogs hunt. The more photos, the more variety, the higher their resolution, the better your chances of making a calendar feature page. There are only 12 spots and lots of gorgeous hounds so the better the resolution and the more interesting the photo the better your chances of being one of the 12. The owners of the PHOTO of dogs and critters chosen for feature pages will get a free calendar and shipping and handling fee will be waved for all additional copies you might want to purchase.

The owners of the dogs chosen for feature pages will be contacted via e-mail for the text they would like to appear on the page in the way of the hounds name, titles, the kennel and contact info. I then send a proof copy of the page graphic. You will be asked at that time to review the text (i.e.Your dogs name and titles, your kennel and website if applicable, your name and contact information if you choose). You will also be asked to sign a note giving me permission to use your photos in exchange for a free calendar.

I never know until I design the pages who will be in the calendar. I designed 21 pages last year and had to pick the best 12. Some photos are great shots or very interesting but the quality is poor. If the quality wont hold up the photo isn't chosen. Sometimes I don't have a choice but to use an poor quality or uninteresting photo because not enough photos come in for one breed or another. (I'm always short on god B&T and Plott photos)

I can't pay anyone for photos cause I make very little profit. It costs me over $6 each to print them. I have tried to keep the price reasonable. LOL Good thing I do it for the love of the hound and will continue as long as I don't loose money.

I hope that explains some for you. Any specific questions, please ask and I'll answer as best I can.
