Last True Sugar Creek - DEAD
The last true Sugar Creek female in the U.S. died peacefully in her sleep wednesday night. She was a great hound. She was a tremendous reproducer and a great hunter. She had a nose that was second to none. I once watched her cold trail a bobcat for a half mile on a frozen river bed and put an end to it with style. She had the best disposition a man could ask for. She was truely a gentle giant. She would play with any pup as if it was her own. a harder tree dog I have never seen. If the game was not shot out, she had to be pulled from the tree and at 115 pounds, that was a chore. Her pedigree read like the who's who of the Sugar Creek line. There was old King,Rattler,Terrible Tom,Thunder Chief and old Ann to name a few. This hound will be sorely missed and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. I would like to thank Del Cameron for the role he played in breeding this fine line of Blueticks. I would also like to thank Barry Lewis and David Price for the opportunity to own this fine hound. This is the end of an era. May she rest in peace ...

I do not what to say, This saddens me greatly and I truly know how you feel. I do know that does not lessen your pain but do not give up.
