Spreading the Wealth

I've decided if Obama becomes our next President that I'm gonna ask him to spread the wealth a little. You know it only makes sense to do that, take this issue for an example:

The other day I was reading something over on Monster Muleys about how many lions there are in places like California. Then it hit me, maybe Obama can do what he's promising and spread the wealth by relocating four or five hundred of those mountain lions from California to Utah? And I'm hoping first come is first serve......

They say there is a silver lining in every cloud, and ole Ike is digging deep looking for that silver lining................

Good luck with that! I can tell you this unless they put cougars on the endagered species list there is no chance that a predator will ever be re-located to any state anytime soon.

Another thing if Obama gets elected they will need to put houndsmen on the endagered species list as our lives as we know it will be forever changed and not for the better!!!

The wolf was on the endagered species list when they re-introduced it to Yellowstone. That is why they thought it was such a grand idea to re-locate the Canadain Grey Wolf here. Funny thing is the Grey Wolf here in the US was endagered NOT the Canadian Grey Wolf. Got to love those liberal idiots that had that great idea!!! Just think of how it is going to be if the liberal socialist gets in.

The people behind putting wolves in Yellowstone and the Selway of Idaho were not idiots tessa, as they did (and are still doing) what they set out to do which is displace hunters. Most of those people want what they call a "natural ecosystem" which they claim you and I aren't part of. With the introduction of wolves into the West, they are one step closer to removing us from the system. If they get Obama elected, and he takes our guns, we are another step removed from that system........

So I would say they ain't too dumb!

I think you're on to something Ike. I think it only fair that the good folks in Californian, Oregon, and Washington (all blue states I might add) share their abundance with some of us cougar deprived states such as Utah that has squandered theirs. So c'mon you left coasters.....pony up your pumas!!

Seriously, if the simple concept of wealth distribution is one of taking from the rich and giving to the poor that would be one thing.....but it isn't. With the burgeoning federal deficit, any wealth distribution is going to be a cross generational thing. We are plundering our children's future to pay for our own excesses.......and that's just wrong!

Am I alone in finding the entitlement mentality and the political pandering that's feeding it disturbing??

Woah, don't make the mistake of thinking the whole state of oregon is blue. Pretty common knoledge that just the dividing line is the Cascade mt's.
We in the State of Eastern Oregon are still close enough to the land to see how screwed up they are on the wet side.

I think Oregon needs to pattern their wolf plan like Wyomings.
Eastern half of the state- list the wolf as a predator and shoot on sight.
West of the Cascades- hunting by season, the liberals can decide after their poodles get eaten.
Full protection like Yellowstone in Portland, Salem and Eugene

Ike, we want to keep our lions. We may get a season back someday if we can ship enough brain food over the Cascades

It breaks down even further than that.. Only Two or Three Counties on the west side are blue, In oregon and WA..

I gotta agree Buddy, but those counties got the rest of the state so outnumbered that we just hafta follow along like the tail on a dog.

We get the same veiw as that tail also, those at the head don't see the crap they leave behind so they don't worry bout it.

It is unfortunate that many of the average people that I know that like to hunt and fish and have conservative values don't even bother to vote!
Many of the states that are split very nearly down the middle would become conservative real fast if they would just get registered and vote.

I will give Obama credit for the fact that he has out flanked the republicans as far as getting people registered and using technology (the internet) to keep his face in front of voters. McCain is not as good a campaigner as I thought he would be when he won the primaries but I really believe this is a lot closr than many of the polls would like us to believe. I saw a "national" poll the other day, cannot remember which one, that had 800 respondents! How can 800 respondents give you a national poll??

thats how it is in every state ----- or every one ive been to --

rural against city-

and city has the votes

wished we could delegate votes by acreage----

only people liveing in wolf country or proposed wolf country should get to vote ---

i think lions were native to most every state at one time--- and california has plenty so lets put em back in every state

i was one of the ones that didnt bother to vote for a long time -

i voted early this time

Good for you Pete, glad to hear you punched the ballot this year. I talked to my sister down in Oklahoma the other day, and she told me her husband hasn't registered to vote in years but did this year, and he did that to vote against Obama! roflmao............

Matter fact, that whole bunch has probably been voting democrat but are gonna switch over to my side this year! I failed to ask them why but figured they must be seeing the same things that I see? The Democrats figure they signed up a bunch of new voters but they may have overlooked some of the people in their ranks.

I don't plan on voting early but I will for sure punch out a ballot!

I talked about this topic in the members only forum the other day, I for one love the idea of cougar relocation. Oregon has a much different cougar plan than california. atleast we are still aloud to kill them here. There are more lions killed each year in oregon without the use of dogs than was ever recorded prior to the ban. Cougar numbers were on the rise in oregon before the ban, and with the ban they have skyrocketed. I don't believe they will ever reverse the hound ban on lions and bears. I do believe there is more of the same for other western states. There just isn't enough loggers ranchers farmers and mill workers left in the state to have a common sence voiced.
