Picture of a track, can someone identify?

Probably a stupid question. I know nothing about wolves but couldnt a young, smaller wolf have a track less than 5 inches across??

yea, the 5inch statistic is full grown timber wolves. other smaller types of wolves would have smaller prints and younger ones as well. My point was its hard to tell a wolf print from a large dog print. they are virtually the same as far as I know..of course i'm no expert on the subject but that is what i picked up from conversations and classes with a wildlife biologist.
