Cold nose is a term that basically means can locate and run an older track, cold nose is also subject to interpretation, such as too me a cold nose hound is a hound that can run a track that is at least 12 hours old, and a hot nose would be a few hours old but it varies on who you talk to and it doesn't me that I am right or wrong its just my preferance. As to your question of breed, each breed can run lions and bobs, but find a breeder that has proven dogs on the game you want and go from there.
