washingtonstate public safety removal

I got a call today from the wdfw that i was selected for area 652. does anyone know anything about this gmu? all the info would be great. I live in yakima and dont know much about the westside. thanks jason

I live right in the middle of it. Unless they change the boundries this year there is nowhere to hunt dogs in this gmu ( they only give you a portion of the gmu). I drew this tag last year and called the game dept. all season to try and get somewhere to hunt and they just told me they would get back to me.

yep i don't know personally, but those public safety hunts are a joke. The units are suburbs, you can hunt some housing developments and hopefully get lucky those tags are to appease politicians.

yeah i looked at it on the maplast night and i would be better off hunting woodland park zoo. but there is always a chance i guess. it is the whole gmu 652. so it might be worth a shot. thanks for the advise jason

Bearbait wasnt there some area up by clay city you could hunt in that unit or is that gone now too? i see one of you bear hunting partners got drawn for 407 as well as a few others..

Hey Mel, no there wasnt anything to hunt up there last year. Yeah my old man and a buddy got drawn for 407 last year we couldnt get access to anything so we just hunted the little bit of state land. Hopefully we can get better access this year.
