a beagle treeing???

Post by beaglewalkerhunter4 »

Is it possible to have a beagle bark treed on a coon? I know with coondogs its in their instinct. But what Iam asking is can it be taught? and if so how?

I dont know for sure, but i wouldnt doubt a person could get them to tree. only thing is, a good size coon gets a hold of that begle, well, its gunna be a hell of a fight, and my money is on the coon.

montanantive, you are right when a coon and beagle go at it its a blood bath. mine has a bit of walker in her so shes got some size. (shes about 50 pounds) mostly she catches them on the ground because she doesnt bark treed. sometimes she will look up the tree and wine mostly just leaves the tree and looks for another one.
