I am as new as new can be to owning hounds. I have recently purchased two walker pups. They are now 2 months old. I have read every training article and book that I could find on bobcat hound training. I think I know how to go about training the pups. My actual question is, does anyone have a bobcat enclosure or offer quality cat hound training? I live in Arkansas, but I'm not affraind to drive anywhere to have my hounds trained.
Like I mentioned earlier, I cannot seem to find a training facility, if anyone know of one please let me know.
thank yall
Kirk

A man is not very smart that can,t find his wife 2 jobs.
And any wife should be able to support her man and a pack of hounds.

training
About the only way to train a bobcat dog
is to run it with other older trained hounds.
This takes many, many hours in the woods.
It is very important the kind of pup u start out with.
It takes a special bred kind of hound for bobcat hunting.
Just any old hound usally don,t get it done.
Good luck on training, u are taking on an almost impossiable task
With out older trained dogs.
In your Arkansas no snow area, it takes a pack of dogs to catch bobcats on a regular basis.
Bobcats are the hardest to catch of any varmit on a regular basis with dogs.
I hope this sheds a little light on the subject for you.
There are no traing facilities for bobcat dogs that I know of.
You are better off buying some older trained dogs, of which very few good
ones are for sale & they will be at an elevated price that most people would not be comfortable paying.
