If your going to hunt coon then you have the Platte River which is wonderful. Bobcat is plentiful pretty much everwhere. Lion on the other hand you better get to know someone who has some land, as Casper Mountain is pretty much all private. You can head west out of Casper towards Pathfinder and might be able to convince a rancher there to let you hunt. Good luck and welcome to Wyoming.

I live 20 miles west of casper everything he said is true. I have good luck with lion on the mountains down this way but it is all private. most the ranchers dont care tho jus talk to people who know the ranchers land and talk to some of the ranchers. Most of the ranches are huge tho like 100,000 acres and such. not to many small ones where im at, I think the casper mountains are pretty split up tho, my buddy got a 180 pound cat out of casper mountain two weeks ago, i am heading to the Ferris mountains this weekend which is west of casper i'll let you know if we do any good.
gotta love walkers!!!

Welcome to WY. I hear there is some good cat hunting around the casper area I worked in casper one winter and talk to some guys that said it was easy to get landowner permition. Listen to the Big Horn Posse she Knows her cat country and pathfinder has always looked good.
It must BAY or BRAY !!

Nice thing about Casper is the weather. LOL! Just kidding folks it really is pretty nice compared to Rock Springs. As most know I have spent a good bit of time in both places other than the traffic I think I would choose Dayton. How about you Tessa? LOL!

I miss Wyoming truely, snow? Yes, Wind?Yes.Cold? Yes. But still the best people in the world, and then again not so damn many of them. LOL!

You will have a blast!

Mike,
Snow and cold went away fast today! It was 60 degrees here but the wind gusts of 75 mph were something I could have lived without! We have had some weird weather in the last year for sure!!
