how do you get the dog to tree harder

I have a red tick female she is 9 months old and will run her own track butt olny barks once or twice on a tree how do I get her to tree harder ?

What does she do after she barks once or twice? Are you shooting anything out to her? Are you tying her up at the tree? She is still really young...

she is still a pup she is doing well for her age most dogs dont start till 10-15 months old i say let her be a pup a lil more dont rush things thats number one killer to haveing a ruint dog lay her up for about a month and take her out if she does it again show her a cage coon and wait till dusk and turn it loose let her track and tree it then pet her up good let her know thats what ya want then start hunting her tie her back dont let her have a single fur in her month for about a week or 2 then she should come around hope this helps take it easy on teh cage coon as well

Time. More hunting and just plain time. Some dogas are silent on the track and don't open much when trailing and others want to bark with every breath so time will tell you. Just give her more time so you don't push her too hard and make her fear hunting. JMO

i agree dont push it you can burn a young dog out buy pushing it to much when ther young some pups can handle it some caint just give er time
