so last night a stray cat was in a tree next to my dogs pen and they were going crazy on it. They're 9 months old, sisters from the same litter, my first dogs. But some time last night they got out, i suspect trying to get to the cat. Anyway, my pup Dixie got hit and killed by a car. I sure had high hopes for her, she ran a scent good and fast, she treed cats good. However i never got a chance to run her on anything live i think she would have made a great dog. Just the other day i got both of them on a coon drag with another pack, one of those dogs was their mother. So I'm pretty upset about loosing my good dog, i'm sure hoping her sister will turn out as good as Dixie. I was going to enter them at Elk Creek, but I dont think Copper can pull it off by herself yet. Theyd never been apart, so she seems pretty sad.

Re: Horrible morning
I am very sorry to hear about your young dog. It's just about impossible to be in this sport for too long and not have this happen, but dammit, it doesn't get any easier.
