I have a few live size cage traps, and was wanting to get some tips from some of you expert trappers on this method.
So far ive been using cat food and stashing the trap in creek beds and rocky areas, where my dogs usually start the fricking suckers, but ive been unsuccessfull.
My next attempt was going to change the baits to sardines/fishy stuff, and covering the trap better with natural materails....??

Dry dog food and make a little trail with the food into the back of the trap where most of the food is at.

Right on, How about trap placement? Any attractant lures hung up high?

I've used dry dog food, I place the trap with the door wired open and about two cups of dog food in it after a couple of days of all the food being eaten I'll unwire it and set it, some times I'll catch 2 or 3 in a row.
