Dirt road or Asphalt which is best??
Dirt road or Asphalt which is best??
I live in town and my truck dosn't get very grea gas milage(7ml gal). I have benn looking forr a close safe open area to road my dogs. In town we have a large factory complex were i work during the day in the evenings its pretty much empty, thats what i have been using. but it's mostly paved over, then i was told roading on pavement can be hard on a dogs joints and cripple them early?? i dosn't seem to bother them much and to me a gravel road is hard also, and would do the same, is one better then the other?? i'm still green and don't want to mess up one of my dogs. thanks

I've heard that as well ,but I don't really think it matters to much gravel roads arent any softer than blacktop.

black top is hard on a dogs pads if ran on for any length of time and in hot temps it is extremely hard on them as it holds heat and this will make a hound slip his pads real fast. road them on gravel or dirt stay away from pavement. later Andy
