Tritronic Exp E collars

Post by bluedogs249 »

Has anyone else had any problems with the collar strap holders breaking and can they be repaired safely without sending to Tritronics?

mine used to break all of the time, I now prevent the problem by taping them with hockey stick 'friction tape' I tape them up when they are brand new, and then re-wrap or replace the tape as needed. Super tough, and will not let the plastic crack.

on broken collars- a few wraps of electrical tape first to hold the broken piece in place, then the friction tape. You won't be able to see the blinking light any more unless you cut a hole in the tape.

Good suggestion by the above post. I've had my break often when hunting rougher game and its a bit of a pain but I also had to tape them to hold them together.
