I would have to say that P.W. Chapman was right on the money with what he said. I just had a litter of 1/2 Redbone, 1/2 Walker and the pups that I didnt keep I put up an ad on here and on craigslist. I had 99% of the people that got in touch with me from craigslist only want pups that looked Redbone and and none of the 99% hunted. I even had one person get really mad when I told her that the pups were only for hunting that they came from hunting parents and I would not sell her a pup. She then told me about two Reg. Papered Redbone she was getting from a breeder back east. And that she was going to start breeding them her self. I tryed to be very nice with her over the fact that if they came from hunting lines they should be hunted. And that only the pups that were up to par should be papered and sold. She hung up on me..... I would be willing to bet that this is not just a Redbone issue and that it is going on in most hound breeds. I think that the Redbone breed might be a little smaller then others and thats why it can be seen there first? I dont know, only time will tell.

hey Ike most of the guys out west that guide and train tell me that the only difference they see is that the feet or pads don't hold up very well compared to others on that dry ground. But they have one hell of a nose.
