Could you send me some pictures and videos to pepsi_hell@hotmail.com? I would really be interested, sounds like she just needs to be finished, and I dont have chickens or ducks. I have a Cameron female and she is awesome. Where did you get her from?

Why not just train her not to bother the chickens and ducks and keep her? Its realy not much differant from trash breaking of deer ect. Accualy its easier because the chickens are right there and you can catch and hold one while you are training.

All mine have to be totaly broken off the yard birds as they run free in 10 acres of orchard with the dogs. Only one of my current dogs never killed a chicken and he was plenty interested but I was proactive on his training.

Here are a few tips, sounds like you have let her be a repeat offender so I will skip to what I did with several dogs that got out of hand. They would never chase or even look at them while I was around. But I was able to catch them in the act of eating thier kill. Run over and act like you are mad as heck stomping the ground and grab that dog by the collar so she don't run off. Then pick up the remains and whip her about the head with it, now you said timid dog so I would not over do this part but enough to get her avoiding the dead bird. Oh have some duck tape on hand for the next part.

Take the dead bird and duck tape it to her collar, tape it up real good so she can't reach it and so when it rots it will not just fall off. Leave it on her neck for a week or until you can't stand to be with in 10 feet of her  Usualy after one time they will not bother them again... although for real hard cases I have had a few fall off the wagon and need a refresher.

After the week let the dog be around some birds while you are there and if she looks at them wth any interest correct her right away. Even a glance with ears forwards. Snap her out of it with a sharp "NO!" or tap to her body to break her concentration. I don't own a shock collar so just do everything by hand. Also training dogs off the yard birds early is a great help with trash breaking off deer ect later, because you have already shown them that they can't run everything they want.

I know it sounds extreme but its worked for me several times even on dogs that got realy bad and killed lots and lots of yard birds. I didn't ruin any of the dogs doing this although one timid dog would shy away from any chicken that came near him and when one chicken decided his house looked like a good place to lay eggs he was afraid to go in while she was in there. He did great on bears and cats though.

Where are you at in Northeast Wyoming? I'm in Southeast Montana and I just lost a dog so I'd be real interested if you weren't too far away.

Is the bluetick still possibly up for grabs? I may be interested soon as I just got approved for my home loan and will be builing on my 5 acres here pretty shortly. Will be a month and a half before I can probably start living in it but will be getting some more dogs once I get the place all set up with my kennels (part of the construction cost, haha). Also could you send me some pics? If you cant post them on here I can give youy my e-mail, thanks!
