NC HUNTING DOG OWNERS - NEED YOUR SUPPORT TODAY

Post by hokieman »

Fight for your right to own and breed dogs -- Oppose Senate Bill #460 -- Vote coming 7/8/09

I am writing to ask for your help in an urgent situation in Raleigh. As many of you know, there were numerous animal rights bills filed this legislative session. We have shot down many, but a few serious threats remain.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the NC General Assembly, the full Senate will vote on Senate Bill #460 “Commercial Dog Breeders”. This is a Humane Society of the US supported animal rights bill. It would open the door to kennel inspections, and rules on how we are to feed, exercise, and breed our dogs. It is being pushed by the HSUS and other animal rights radicals in 22 states this year.

We must not let North Carolina fall prey to this animal rights agenda. Please take time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning to CALL YOUR Senator. Ask him/her to vote against SB#460.

Call the NC General Assembly at (919)733-4111 or visit the legislative website at http://www.ncleg.net. Click here to go to the full list of Senators.

Here is a document that lists the Senators by county:

It is good to email, also, but calls are most effective in these last few days. The HSUS has directed its NC activists to call and call and call.

THEIR TAKING CALLS TIL 7PM - CALL NOW AND ASK THEM TO VOTE NO TO SENATE BILL 460.

Our friendly Senators tell us the calls are running about 50% for and 50% against the bill. We must keep up the message that SB#460 IS A TERRIBLE BILL.

Thanks Hokieman for posting this needed information.
I've called before. I was just told that it was withdrawn and sent back to the NC rules committee. Hopefully it will die there and not be brought back up this session.

FOLKS HAD BETTER STAY ON TOP OF THIS BILL TOO!!

Thanks again Hokieman for trying to do your best at rallying the troops!

See below the actual spreadsheet from the NC Senate site.
