If you could spend a week?
Here's a question for you big game hound folks.
If you could spend a week hunting with one special person past or present in the big game hound world , WHO WOULD IT BE? Maybe some person who's name is well known maybe one who was or is only known in a local region. But that one person you would like to be out in the woods with the hounds for one non-stop week.
?

Re: If you could spend a week?
A week is a long time to spend with anybody Mike.....roflmao! I think it would be fun to spend a week with one of those southern lion hunters like you, but I realize that I'm just not much into driving very far to hunt when I can be hunting from here in thirty minutes. It would also be fun to spend a few days with a young, tough southern lion hunter that hasn't been spoiled yet by the mocho aspect of this sport, somebody like az_gogetem would be fun. I had a young man in Alberta tell me to load dogs and he'd clean out the kennels anytime I want to come up, and running some of those monster Alberta tom lions down would be loads of fun. It would also be fun to hunt with the "real catman", that Yaak Attack guy. He promised if a guy came up there they could catch three cats in three days, one of which would be a bobcat.......
So it would be fun to hunt with alot of guys on this board but thinking, planning and dreaming is always easier than loading hounds and driving down the highway for twenty or more hours...........time and money! I thought about doing another video, do a little traveling and include some of these people along the way but again that all sounds like such alot of work...........
Good post Mike,

Re: If you could spend a week?
Well I'm not sure if I could keep up but i too would have to say Ben Lilly. One week hunting with him and on the eight day I could die a happy man. Terrel Shelly and Warner Glenn are right behind. I would also like to make a round or two with Sam Darrenger(spelling??).

Re: If you could spend a week?
I don't think i could spend a week with any other houndmen so my vote goes to Jessica Simpson 7 days couped up in a cabin with my hounds and Jessica sounds alot more entertaining than with any houndman!

Re: If you could spend a week?
Doogie.. no question, Roper. "all 7" .. way too much piute mt these days.
I would have to say anyone that has helped me in hounds from the start till now.. the type of people that dont hog a track with just their dogs and not let you turn in yours.
These people may not make the houndman hall of fame but I could ride in a truck and have fun with. Jess Peterson. Randy Calicoat. Jim bundrick. Ricky Arthur there are others but I have learned alot from these guys
or I would go out and do a week of internet hunting like ike
